Perinatal Mental Health Clinician
Clinical Supervisor

I have worked as a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse Psychotherapist in my private practice since 2013, following nine years as a CNS/CNC in the Perinatal and Infant Mental Health team at Central Coast NSW Health, alongside a number of years working in the general and acute Mental Health Services. My therapeutic focus is integrative, holistic, and trauma-informed, strongly influenced by Attachment Theory principles.
Recognising Clinical Supervision as integral to professional growth, I've consistently engaged in monthly sessions from either an individual supervisor and/or as part of a peer group since entering the mental health field. In 2011 my journey to becoming a Clinical Supervisor began, and I’ve continuously updated my skills and education in this area ever since.
Using the Australian Clinical Supervision Association’s 2015 definition I consider Clinical supervision is not operational, performance management, education or ‘gatekeeping’ supervision; rather, it is “… a formal professional relationship between two or more people in designated roles, which facilitates reflective practice, explores ethical issues, and develops skills.”

I offer a reflective practice model of Clinical Supervision, working from a strengths-based approach with an emphasis on caring for the self. Over the last 13 years as a clinical supervisor, I’ve provided support to individuals from various backgrounds.  This includes offering individual supervision to clinicians within and outside the health sector, such as mental health nurses, midwives, social workers, naturopaths, and counsellors. Additionally, I've conducted group supervision sessions for professionals in general nursing, child & family health nursing, and mental health services. Since the emergence of Covid-19 and with advances in technology, all therapeutic and clinical supervision sessions have been conducted online.

I am registered as a Clinical Supervisor on a number of platforms including
            Australian Clinical Supervision Association (ACSA)
            Australian Counselling Association (ACA)
            Australian Society Clinical Hypnotherapists (ASCH)
